Longest mephiles report ever

Mephiles is the mind and conscious thought of the sun god solaris, which means he's really really really smart. (Following me so far?) Anyways, ten years ago, the Duke of Soleanna and some scientists got into their heads that they could control Solaris and therefore control time. But then there's an explosion, two hedgehogs, the sealing of Iblis in a princess, the sealing of Mephiles in a stick thing, and everything else. Then this whole paradox thing happens that I'll explain later.

Summary: Iblis gets sealed within Princess Elise the Third of the beautiful city of Soleanna, (which is based off Venice, Italy, by the way) and Mephiles gets sealed in a stick thing called the Sceptor of Darkness, OH NO NOT DARKNESS! Cheesy, right?

Ten years later, though, something happens. Rouge was on a G.U.N mission to retrieve an item from Doctor Eggman's base. Guess what the item was? The SCEPTER OF DARKNESS with Mephiles still sealed in it. Well, Rouge gets caught in the act so here comes heroic Shadow to save her. (Actually he was just assigned the mission but you get the point.) After she's rescued, she asks him to escort her to the G.U.N rendezvous point (pronounced Rond-day-voo) which is the ancient castle of Soleanna in Kingdom Valley. Now you may be wondering what the heck this little bit of info has to do with Mephiles. Hold onto your pants, I'm getting there! Anyways, when they get there, they run into Eggman who wants his scepter back. But they don't want to give it back. So then follows robot battles and smashing and in the act the scepter breaks. Suddenly all the robots start malfunctioning and Eggman screams like a girl and runs away. (Not really, but he's still a wimp!) Now this is the good part. A big purple spirit... thing... of darkness (That's Mephiles) breaks out of the scepter, makes all the robots fall to their knees, and heads straight for Shadow! The black hedgehog jumps out of the way in the knick of time, causing Mephiles to plunge into the ground, right smack on Shadow's shadow, which he sucks up and becomes an almost exact mirror image of Shadow. Except for Mephiles is dark gray with bluish light gray streaks, piercing green cat eyes, and no mouth on his almost white muzzle. His rings around his wrists and ankles are clear and his shoes are gray and white. 

 Mephiles: *Laughs maniacally* Oh, how ironic fate can be! I never would have believed I would be resurrected from your shade! *Bows* I thank you, Shadow the Hedgehog.

Shadow: *Confused* Who are you? And how do you know my name?

Mephiles: I'm Mephiles. Mephiles the Dark. What? did you forget me? (FYI, I have no idea what a "Dark" is supposed to be...)

Shadow: *Takes a step back as Mephiles approaches menacingly*

Mephiles: I owe much to you, Shadow! *A weird purple ball of energy materializes in his hand as Shadow flinches back* Oh yes. What you gave to me, I now return to you, A ONE WAY TICKET TO OBLIVION! *lets energy ball go and it encases all three and they disappear*

 I LOVE THAT CUTSCENE SO MUCH! Anyways, they get transported about 200 years or so, give or take a few decades, into the FUTURE! OOOOHHHHH THE FUTURE!!! When they get there, Mephiles is gone and everything is all fiery and there's lot of lava and metal crap. This is because someone triggered Iblis and unleashed fire and destruction on the entire world. (Because he's the fiery part of the sun god Solaris) Anyways, Shadow and Rouge meet up with Team Sonic, whoop de doo, and they do stuff. Later, the five of them find two chaos emeralds and make a portal to go back in time. So get this, they all jump into the portal EXCEPT SHADOW! DUHN DUHN DDUUUHHHNNN!!!

 Shadow finds Mephiles.

 Mephiles: So, decided to void your return ticket, now did you?

Shadow: Why are you here? Did you ruin this world?

 Mephiles: The answers yes, and no. Perhaps it's... better to show you. *A replication of a strange capsule thing that is housing an unconscious Shadow appears*

Shadow: *Shadow stares at it for a second, then steps back in horror as realization creeps into his expression*

Mephiles: Yes, that's you. After the world was devastated by Iblis' flames, what do you think happened? A search for the guilty, who did this, you may ask? Humanity wasn't just jealous of your power, they feared it. They used this incident as an excuse to hunt you down! Come with me, Shadow! Let us punish this foolish world of humanity! It's only fair to give back what was intended for you. You have every right to want justice!

Shadow: That's absurd! Whatever it is you want to do, you can do it alone!

Mephiles: *Gestures to capsule cage thing... WHATEVER IT IS!* You forgive humanity this folly then?

Shadow: I determine my own destiny!

Mephiles: *Epic music plays as he turns into his crystalline form. In this form, he is dark blue with light blue quills that resemble crystals. This is why this form is dubbed "Crystalline form." He has these skeletal hands with light blue claws that are sharp and SO SEXY! Sorry, fan girlish instincts... heh heh. He has a brilliant white muzzle with no nose or mouth, and his eyes are a neon yellow-green against a bright hot pink/dark red sclera. (the "whites" of the eye)*

The cutscene ends and the next cutscene starts with Mephiles lying on the floor (boss?) and Shadow walks up and stands in front of him. Suddenly Mephiles gets up and fires this big cloud of purple energy that sends Shadow flying and he hits a rock pillar thing. He peels off of it and kneels on the ground in pain. Mephiles approaches menacingly, an evil glint in his eye, when a string of bullets is fired in between the two. They both turn their heads to see E-123 Omega the robot. "Now is designated time. I shall assist."

Okay, the reason he said that is when Rouge got back to the past she told Omega to go to the future and deliver a chaos emerald to Shadow. And also in a cutscene where Rouge and Shadow were both in the future and they saw a dusty Omega in stand by mode. Guess he had to go to the future the long way.

So Omega helps Shadow defeat Mephiles but the demon makes a portal and escapes back to the present. Luckily, the two jump into the portal after him so they won't be stuck in the future. But when they get back to the present, Mephiles is not there. Later, Shadow has to save Sonic from getting torn to shreds by a psycho hedgehog with telekinesis from the future named Silver that thinks Sonic is the Iblis Trigger (the individual who has awakened Iblis and unleashed him on the world) Shadow tells him that Sonic is not the Iblis Trigger and he and Silver go back into the past. And like I said before, the explosion and everything? Remember? Hello, anyone home? Well, all the scientists die and the Duke of Soleanna seals Iblis into Princess Elise, making it so that she can not cry or her "tears will bring forth the flames" inside her. Meanwhile, Shadow is busy with Mephiles. (Did I actually just type that?  )

*A big spirit thing of darkness is on one side of a room while Shadow is on the other side*

Shadow: *Takes out chaos emerald* CHAOS CONTROL!

Mephiles: (who is a purple cloud right now lol) Urrrrggggg... what? Stop!

Shadow: *Makes scepter thing float above him with his arms spread wide as Mephiles is slowly being sucked into it* 

Mephiles: Who... who are... you?

Shadow: I'm Shadow. Shadow the Hedgehog.

Mephiles: Shadow... Your face... your form... I will remember! Your death... certain... you... will DIE!

*The scepter drops to the ground at Shadows feet and he picks it up and stares at it broodingly*

Now heres where the paradox thing comes in. Shadow leaves the scepter in the past, resulting in Mephiles being trapped in a scepter for ten years. Do you know how boring and maddening that could be? No wonder Mephiles hates Shadow's guts... So, Shadow caused Mephiles to hate him, and Mephiles was really mean to Shadow so the hedgehog went back in time to see what happened and had to seal Mephiles so he couldn't go out and ruin the world with his evil and mean ways when it was really Shadow who caused him to become so evil because he was trapped in darkness for ten damn years!

Now here is where Mephiles provokes the most awkward and tense cutscene in the whole game. Even when people watch parodies, they tense up and feel awkward. At least that's my experience! And it takes place on a white sand, teal water, perfect sky beach of all places!

*Omega is firing bullets at Mephiles repeatedly, making the demon look like a rag doll whipping in the wind, it's quite hilarious actually*

Mephiles: Urrgg... This only proves you were created to stop Shadow, the ultimate life form. Don't tell me you didn't know! You may have been programmed by humanity, but what you did to Shadow in the future, that was your...

(and no one ever did know what he was going to say next, because at that moment he was bombarded with bullets by Omega)

Mephiles: *falls onto knees and grunts, but then leans back, laughing maniacally, and disappears in a swift cloud of black mist*

*Suddenly Rouge and Shadow walk over as soon as Mephiles is gone*

Rouge: What just happened?

Omega: Shadow... *turns around and takes a step toward him* ...The one that defeats and seals you in the future... is me! *points to self*

Shadow: ... *Stares at him and uncrosses his arms*

Rouge: ...It's... It's so unfair! Shadow's always here to defend the world!

Shadow: *Closes eyes and turns head away*

Rouge: Despite that...

Omega: Eventually, when something or someone is seen as too powerful... It is seen as a threat... *Turns toward Shadow and points at him, but Shadow is turned away, staring at the ground, cold but awkward* And then the world becomes its enemy.

Shadow: *Starts to walk away slowly, obviously very unnerved and shocked (who wouldn't be?)*

Rouge: Shadow... *Closes eyes* Even if you believe everyone in the world will be against you... Know that I'll always remain by your side... *Turns away sadly* Remember that...

Shadow: *Stops in his tracks, turns around, and nods his head* I will. *Turns back around and starts walking again while Rouge is still sad and Omega is looking quite awkward*

See what I mean? Mephiles is so evil, he almost broke up Team Dark! My favorite team! And it's not because Omega and Shadow are two of my favorite characters, or that I support Shadouge, it's because they are all so close. I mean, Team Sonic is kind of shallow, Team Rose was that one time and they never really met up again, and team Chaotix was put in Sonic Heroes and Sonic X for kicks! Espio doesn't even like Vector and even Charmy thinks he's a bit of a nut job, which he is! But Team Dark, they have this bond that runs deep into their souls that binds them so tightly it's almost super natural! Whoa, I totally got off topic! Back to Mephiles and all that. So, Team Dark finds Mephiles and confronts him. (Weird, even after that they still stay together? I've seen the cutscenes 20 times, no exaggeration, and it still surprises me every time!)

*Team dark runs up to the bottom of a temple thing and Mephiles is at the top*

Shadow: MEPHILES!

Mephiles: I was expecting you sooner, as you must know, you're already too late! But there's still time for you to change your mind! Join me, Shadow. Let us teach this world a lesson, and rewrite the future! 

Shadow: Don't try to deceive me!

Mephiles: What?

Shadow: You have no desire for revenge, you only crave destruction! You're only lust is to fuel Iblis until there is nothing left of time itself! (love this quote!)

Mephiles: It's a pity, Shadow the Hedgehog! Truly a shame that you wish to go against me!

*The Team is blown back and the floor turns into a black sea of goop or something... I haven't played the game I'm guessing it's a boss...*

 Next cutscene awaits us! This one's AWESOME!

*Mephiles melts into a puddle of shining black goop, and it's makes a weird gurgling sound and it's kinda gross but cool, as Shadow approaches with the scepter of darkness, the scepter rose as Shadow spread his arms out and Mephiles is sucked into the scepter. When Mephiles is completely in the scepter, it explodes and a blinding light flashes*

Rouge: It's destroyed!

Mephiles: *Is a big swirling purple cloud that slowly shapes into himself as he talks* The "I" of now absorbed your power through your shadow in the past, what would've worked ten years ago NO LONGER DOES! *sends out a big thing that looks like a sound wave that fires the team up into the air and fall flat on their stomach head over heels as the demon lands gracefully. He uses the two chaos emeralds to make copies upon copies of himself that surround Team Dark* You must realize now that you cannot hope to stop me with your "limited power."

Shadow: *stands up slowly and faces the Mephiles talking* So you say.

Mephiles: It's futile. The world will betray you! Why fight at all? Why risk your life for those who will persecute you later?

Shadow: *Team mates stand solidly behind him as he starts to remove his rings* If the world chooses to become my enemy, I will fight like I always have!  *A big burst of energy emits from Shadow and he starts working on bumping out every single Mephiles clone in sight*

Before I move on to the last story, let me share with you what happens between him and Silver. Remember Silver? The psychopath with the telekinesis? Bent on destroying the Iblis Trigger? Well, you have Mephiles to blame for that!

*After Silver and Blaze defeat Iblis in the future*

Blaze: Looked like we stopped it for now.

Silver: But it'll just rise up from it's ashes again (lol phoenix!) *pounds rock*  What's the point of all this? It'll never end!

 Blaze: Calm down, Silver!

Silver: Then tell me what we should do! How can we completely destroy Iblis?

Mephiles: *On a piece of debris high above their heads* By knowing the truth of course. Just as a flower comes from a seed, or a chicken comes from an egg, everything has an origin! You need to find the being originally responsible for this catastrophe!

Silver: Is that really the answer to our problem? Tell me, do you know who it is?

Mephiles: *Looks at him creepily* (I swear if he had a mouth he would be grinning like crazy at this part)

Now it blacks out and goes to another cutscene where Mephiles is walking into an abandoned lab place thing with Silver and Blaze.

Mephiles: To fix this present time line, you need to change the past.

Silver: *Waving his hand dismissively* But that's impossible!

Mephiles: With my help, you can. Because I have the power to travel through time!

Silver: No WAY!

Mephiles: In order to change the past, you must eliminate the individual who has awakened Iblis... The Iblis Trigger!

Silver: *Thinks for a moment* ...So, if I eliminate that guy, will our world be saved?

Mephiles: *Nods and turns to a big computer screen* The Day of Disaster... Here are my records of this event. This was when Iblis was freed, and his Flames were released into the world. *Types some keys on the keyboard and some pictures pop up on the screen* ... And you have this person to blame. *Takes out purple emerald and hands it to Silver*

Silver: *Looks deeply into it and sees Sonic standing in the middle of flames* I see it! So that blue hedgehog's the Iblis Trigger?

Blaze: *Looks at him with a misty look to her eyes* Blue hedgehog...

Silver: *Hands the emerald back to Mephiles*

Mephiles: I'll send us back in time to the point when the Iblis Trigger was alive. *Makes a purple ball of energy in his hands, it expands, and they disappear*

Later in Silver's story, Silver is unsure of whether or not Sonic really is the Iblis Trigger. So he confronts Mephiles front and center.

Silver: Mephiles... *Looks at Blaze, closes his eyes and takes a deep breath* Tell me, who is the Iblis Trigger? Why does her want to destroy the world?

Mephiles: Why does that matter to you? Unless you complete your task, your future will remain the same... forever. He's currently at the terminal station, it's now or never if you want this. *Gestures his hand out and walks away*

Blaze: *Nods head in direction of terminal station, and they both leave*

And that's really it for Mephiles in Silver's story. If I were Silver, I probably wouldn't trust a creepy hedgehog thing with no mouth, a sinister voice, and the power to control time. As Blaze says a lot during his story, "You're so naive!" I think I'm going to have to agree with her on that. Damn you, Silver! Anyways, last story. Th last story starts out as a cutscene that's like 2 minutes of Mephiles staring at a Chaos Emerald and then slowly turning his head toward the camera. I enjoy it because I like to stare back at him. Anyways, after that cutscene, it's a cutscene with little words. Sonic and Elise are walking merrily along when they hear something behind them. They turn around to see a purple Chaos Emerald floating in the air and shining very brightly. As they are distracted, Mephiles melts out of the ground from behind them and shoots Sonic from behind with a light blue and purple lazer. It sticks him straight and goes right through him, suspending the hedgehog in the air, a look of pure shock on his face. Elise gasps, and a couple seconds later Mephiles pulls his hand back and the lazer beam stops. Sonic falls to the ground dead, and Elise drops down beside him and starts shaking him. Mephiles is standing a couple of feet away, laughing his head off maliciously. Elise rolls Sonic onto his back, and his arm falls to ground.

"Sonic?" She said weakly. It then shows a black background with her as a little girl. Her father's voice echoes in her ears. "Yes, Elise. Don't cry, no matter what happens."

Then she goes, "No... no... NNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!" And Iblis explodes from her soul. Because as I said earlier if she cries Iblis is released. Which is why Mephiles wanted Silver to kill Sonic, but Silver wussed out so Mephiles had to do the job himself.

Mephiles laughs some more. "Finally! The seal is broken. At long last, I will be able to join with you... IBLIS!" Takes out a chaos emerald. "Now, Chaos Emerald, it's time for the final curtain call!"

Then after this he joins with Iblis and they become Solaris. Then it messes up everything and causes spacial distortion. Summary of what happens next: The Sonic crew meet up and see Sonic's dead, they cry for a bit, (well actually Amy cries but everyone else is really upset except for Eggman and Omega) then Elise says she "feels Sonic's presence in the wind." She says he doesn't think he's dead yet, they collect the emeralds, bring him back to life, Sonic, Shadow and Silver go super-duper, and they PWN Solaris. Then Sonic and Elise go back in time and Elise blows out the flame that is the early Solaris, therefore erasing all the events that happened in that game.
